Exquisite Heart Wedding!

What could be more romantic than a ceremony held in the month of Februrary? Putting the symbol of love all around our wedding day struck me as a wonderful way to celebrate marriage. I started it off with the loveliest tiara that I ran across online. There were many wonderful decorations and supplies to choose from, such as the invitations I bought. I mailed out small cards that had two silver-colored hearts on the front of them for our invitations. It was really elegant looking and the inside was preprinted, so all I had to do was fill in the blanks with all the necessary information of who, when and where.
Inviting people, of course, was just the first phase, so I went right from that onto setting up the overall look and feel of the wedding, and then gathering together the supplies and accessories to make it work. On each of the pews I had big red velvet bows with ribbon strung from one pew to the next. At the altar were candelabras and our beautiful unity candle with the heart of little roses on the front. There were also red and pink roses to help with the décor of the wedding site and red and white roses in my bridal bouquet. It may have been a touch extravagant, but I’ve always wanted to have doves released as we left the church building, so we did, and I thought it was wonderful.
Now I had to plan for our hearts wedding reception, and find just the right decorations to make this a romantic setting. There was a lot to work with in planning this heart wedding reception. They had candles, place card holders and lovely hearts wedding favors with the perfect motif for this love themed wedding party. The little wedding favors they had to offer also made wonderful little souvenirs of our very special day. Infact I liked them so much I ordered a few extra to put on our bookshelf at home. The whole place was decorated exquisitely for a Valentine wedding day.

For our wedding reception I had centerpieces made up of red, white and pink roses with little valentine hearts arranged in with the flowers. On each of the reception tables were little two hearts wedding candles to set the romantic mood of the theme I had chosen, and at each setting was the nicest place card holders I could find. I ordered beautiful little silver bells with a heart shaped handle that make a very lovely keepsake from our wedding day for each of our guests. There were frosting hearts all around the bottom layer of our wedding cake, and each layer was decked out in pink and red roses all around. On top sat our very special keepsake hearts wedding cake topper made of white porcelain, which looked so elegant with all the other cake decorations.
Everything at our wedding and reception was the perfect picture of a true valentines day wedding with all the hearts and flowers imaginable. I’m just glad I had the internet to turn to, it made everything so much easier.
