Once we decided on a beach wedding, I started looking for all my accessories and supplies they had in a beach motif. The first thing to get was the invitations for our beach themed wedding. My fiance’s wedding attire consisted of a blue shirt and white pants made of linen, and his groomsmen were also dressed in linen, with white shirts and sandy colored pants. The little sundress our flower girl wore looked so adorable on her and our ring boy looked so cute in his little khaki shorts and white shirt. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.

I wish now,with all the photos of our wedding being taken, that I would have bought two leather wedding albums, instead of only one. I want pictures of everything and everyone at our wedding, all the gorgeous decorations, and our lovely reception. Pictures of our satin canopy and flowered arch where we stood to take our vows was a definite must. When the ceremony was over, my new husband and I went to our hotel room to change into some more comfortable beach outfits. Some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore their swim wear under their wedding clothes, and some went home to change. We told all of our guests to dress casually.

Everyone thought our reception tables were so beautiful with all the beach themed wedding accessories I had found for them. My fiance and I set the date for our wedding in January, because I had my heart set on a winter wonderland ceremony and reception. The tuxes with the white boutonnieres in the lapels made the groomsmen and the little ring boy looked quite handsome. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were such a lovely couple. When the ceremony ended the happy couple left for the reception in a horse drawn buggy.
Since they chose a ranch to buy as their first home, they thought that would be the perfect place to hold the reception. What a gorgeous place they had with a beautiful house and horse barn on two acres. I would have loved to have started my married life out in a place like this.
She did a fantastic job arranging her reception. It was spectacular. Wild flowers centered on each table really gave it that down home look. From the country décor to the themed weddings, everything was perfection. Around the reception tables it was lit up with lanterns and white christmas lights everywhere. The corn stalks and bales of hay really made this the perfect picture of a down home reception. They had things for the children to do so they could have as good a time as the grown ups. There were horse shoes, bobbing for apples, and barn dancing. Everyone was having the time of their lives.
They had a gorgeous cake with a funny country western cake topper that gave everyone a good laugh. It was the perfect themed cake topper. They even had country themed champagne flutes for the bridal toast. And on each and every table she had little cowboy hats that were used as place card holders. I thought that was very creative.
The food they chose for the reception was unbelievable. Since this was more like a country barbecue, there was plenty choices of meats, salads and vegetables. There was more than enough to eat. Lots of music, dancing, games and food to last all evening. The country western theme was a blast.
Another fun reception is a beach party reception. There is nothing more beautiful than a beach wedding ceremony. You can feel the romance in the air as the sun sets on the horizon. The warm breeze and the sound of the waves simply adds to the ambiance of the ceremony. I plan on having a beach wedding and reception too, one day.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous summer dresses and the groomsmen wore drawstring pants and linen shirts. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect ceremony than this wonderful dream wedding.
Their reception was more than elegant too. Everything for her table décor had something to do with the oceanside. She had a wonderful idea for centerpieces, with seashells, starfish and orchids surrounding two large white candles in a tray of sand. Her crystal champagne glasses had beach themed stems and her place card holders were little seashells.
Her beach décor was fabulous and she had everything from a beach cake topper to theme wedding cakes that worked perfectly. This was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended.

Although planning wasn’t as difficult a chore as I thought, there were quite a few things to take care of. Like, making sure there were citronella candles all around, rest rooms close by and making sure our cake was kept cool until ready to be cut.

Each of our guest had a park bench place card holder and the centerpieces were flowers arranged around a glass globe with citronella votive candles inside. I found very decorative favor boxes and used them to package the chrome bottle openers we bought for our friends and family as a summer wedding theme. As wedding favors I chose crystal paperweights for all of our guests. They were really lovely, so lovely I hated to package them, but the favor boxes were very decorative and added that extra special something to our tables. Out of everything I bought, I loved my cake topper the most. Our cake topper was so beautiful it almost out shined our wedding cake. The beautiful satin bow and butterfly just made our cake even more beautiful.

Our mom gave her the idea of going online to find everything she needed for my bridal shower she was throwing for me, just like she did for me with my wedding supplies.

In about three and a half weeks I’m giving my sister a baby shower and I already know where I’m getting the decorations, favors and other party supplies from. I’m pretty sure on the items I’ve checked out so far, and plan to order them some time next week. That’s when she finds out if she is having a girl or boy. Even though there are a lot of neutral colors I could use, I’d rather try to have the décor and supplies in a boy or girl theme.

Maybe I can use this online shopping thing for our future anniversary parties. I saw some pretty nice ideas for anniversary parties, from decorations to anniversary party favors. There were some very excellent selections for mom and dad’s 30th anniversary. My sister and I should get together and discuss it. It won’t be long before they are celebrating their anniversary, we might as well get an early start on planning.
